Japanese subtitles were created as part of a collaborative project between students at International Christian University and Middlebury College. We invite you to engage with this history—carried forward by the hands of a new generation.『History of Tenryumura』
During World War II, in the village of Tenryū, Nagano Prefecture, many foreign prisoners of war and people forcibly brought from China and Korea were made to work on dam construction—many lost their lives. To honor their memory—This documentary was created by students at Middlebury College, inspired by the wishes of the villagers who seek to remember and share this painful history.Reception &Mini Concert
