“Drinking Games in The Story of The Stone”

Drinking games are a special occasion in Chinese culture which frequently combine intoxicating drinks and creative involvement of poetry. Thanks to the variety of the drinking games and their capacity to include and link different social groups, scenes of these games in the The Story of The Stone, greatly enlarge the scale of the narrative and are the catalyst for some of the most dramatic moments.
