The 191st Asian Forum, "What do we need to do for fully enforcing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Japan?
Focusing on women with disabilities, young cares, the Japanese Comprehensive Support Law for Persons with Disabilities, physical restraints against persons with disabilities, information barrier-free and Japanese government's report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities."

The UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2006. In order to ratify the Convention, Japan has been reforming its disability system, which has resulted in significant changes in disability legislation. I will discuss some of remaining issues about it and talk about the solution through the examination by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities about Japanese government reports.
