Oct. 24th Feeling Political, Always: Translation, Publishing, and Collectivity

To commemorate the publication of the Japanese translation of "How We Get Free: Black Feminism and the Combahee River Collective" (ed. by Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, Haymarket Books, 2017), this event will feature the members of Political Feelings Collective, the translators of the work. The process of translating this book was inseparable from researching the thoughts and scenes of many writers and activists behind it. At this event, the members of Political Feelings Collective will give a talk on not only the Combahee River Collective and Black Feminism, but also the significance of reading, writing, translating, and researching, as a collective today.
