Nagashima, Yurie
Photographer and writer. In 1993, while still a student at the Department of Visual Communication Design at Musashino Art University, she made her debut and received the Urbanart award hosted by the Parco Gallery in Tokyo. In 1999, she completed the master's program at the Department of Fine Arts, California Institute of the Arts; in 2015, she completed the master's program at the Graduate School of Humanities, Musashi University. In 2010, she received the 26th Kodansha Essay Award for "Memory of Her Back" (Kodansha). In 2020, she published the photo book "Self-Portraits."
Parnass, Anat
Photographer. After graduating from Tel Aviv University with a BA in Japanese Studies, Anat Parnass continued her studies at an Art school, Camera Obscura, studying photography for two years, while working at Haaretz newspaper. In April 2006, after receiving the MEXT scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education, she arrived in Japan. In 2013, she completed her Ph.D. at Japan University College of Art with a thesis on contemporary women’s photography in Japan. Major photo exhibitions include "Holga De Shinjuku" (2010, Stork Gallery), "Far Away From (Here)" (2011, FOIL Gallery), "Stillness of Night" (2013, Nikon Gallery).
