NEWJun. 12 72nd Fuwa-Cafe: What is This feeling Called 'Like/Love'? 【R-Weeks 2025】
Thursday,May 22,2025Categories: Fuwacafe
“I love this!” “Maybe I like them?”
Where do these feelings come from?
The things we like aren’t always people—
they can be hobbies, celebrities, places, words, or even vague feelings we can’t quite name.
Let’s take a moment to chat about what it means to like something, in all its forms.
From crushes to comfort foods, our likes are often tied to gender, sexuality, and identity.
Join us for a relaxed conversation over snacks and tea,
and feel free to stop by the CGS while you’re at it!
Date & Time: Jun 12th (Thu) 12:50-14:50
No reservation necessary. Free entry. (We welcome donations to keep our center running!)
Coming in the middle or leaving early are both OK.
Both English or Japanese are OK (unfortunately, we are unable to provide simultaneous translation, but we will try our best to accommodate translation needs).
Venue: CGS@ERB-I 301
The building next to the main hall, directly in front of the library.
It’s the corner room on the third floor with a rainbow flag displayed in the window.
Subject: What is This feeling Called 'Like/Love'?
Have some tea/coffee and snacks as we talk about gender and sexuality in a relaxed atmosphere. Topics we've discussed before:
"I might be attracted to people of the same sex as me,"
" I might be attracted to both men and women,"
" I have no interest in romance,"
" I want to be seen as a woman/man,"
" I don't feel comfortable in my body"
" I don't want others to determine my gender for me,"
" I don't want to put a label on my sexual identity."
If you have anything else you want to discuss, please feel free to bring it up.
We look forward to seeing you!
