Applicants
selected will be known as Rotary World Peace Scholars. They are chosen based on
their ability to have a significant and positive impact on world peace and
conflict resolution during their future careers. They must demonstrate a
commitment to a career in peace and conflict resolution. They are also expected
to participate in local Rotary activities as requested and to act as
ambassadors of goodwill.
Rotary
World Peace Scholars are supported by the Rotary World Peace Scholarship for
two years while at ICU or at other designated Rotary Centers to pursue a
master's level program. The scholarship includes funding for registration,
tuition and other university fees, a monthly stipend for 21 months of room and
board, and transportation between the scholar's home and study destination at
the start and end of the scholarship period.
