With the support of JICA Vietnam Office, State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) organized the Seminar on Macroeconomics Policies on August 1-2.
School of International and Public Policy, Hitotsubashi University and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, ICU have been accepting JDS fellows from Vietnam under the component of ‘Institution Building for Growth Promotion’. Prof. Yasuhiro Maehara (Hitotsubashi Univ.) and Prof. Taisei Kaizoji (ICU) gave lectures to young staff of SBV, new coming JDS fellows, JDS alumni fellows to share the knowledge and roundtable discussion on macroeconomics policies.

Prof. Kaizoji gave two letures - 1) Global Imbalance and Financial Crisis, 2) Monetary Policies for Curbing Inflation in Vietnam- New Keynesian Approach. It was a very good opportunity especially for new coming JDS fellows to learn current macroeconomic policies and prepare for the study at ICU.

At the end of seminar, there was a session to introduce ICU graduate school and consultancy to studying opportunities. Potential JDS applicants could know more specifics about the curriculum and campus life at ICU.
