On June 22, 2009 a farewell symposium was held at ICU Alumni House for four graduating JDS fellows from Vietnam and the Philippines. Guests from Japan International Cooperation Center joined this symposium. The JDS fellows gave a presentation on their research in the field of Economics and Public Administration, with their plan outlining how they plan to contribute to development in their home countries after completing their MA programs. The topics of their thesis are very important issues in each country. ICU faculties and graduate/undergraduate students joined the symposium and had a lively exchange of views about their thesis topics.
JDS fellows expressed their deepest gratitude to the all concerned who have supported this program. ICU faculties congratulated the graduates and offered encouragement for their future career.

The commencement was held on June 30.Vietnamese fellows got the degree of Master of Arts in Public Economics, and Philippine fellows got the degree of Master of Arts in Public Administration.
