On November 6, two government officials from the Philippines, Ms. Padilla Agnes Dumpit, Director of Human Resource Development Office, Civil Service Commission and Ms. Benjamin Ameta Balute, OIC-Chief of Asia Pacific Division, Public Investment Staff, National Economic and Development Authority, visited ICU as part of the monitoring mission of JDS program. The visitors exchanged opinions with Professor Grant R. Pogosyan, Dean of the Graduate School and other faculty supporting this program on instructional method and expected outcome of fellows’ research. 
Professor Pogosyan expressed appreciation for including ICU in the program, while Ms. Padilla thanked the faculty for the constant guidance they provide students. Four Philippine fellows are also invited to get together and they reported on the progress of their research and university life. After meeting, fellows guided the officials around the campus.
