2008 Farewell Symposium for JDS Fellows

On June 18, 2008 a farewell symposium was held at ICU Alumni House for eleven graduating JDS fellows from China, Mongolia, the Philippines and Uzbekistan. The JDS fellows gave a presentation on their research, with an action plan outlining how they plan to contribute to development in their home countries after completing their MA programs.

The topics of their research were ranging from environmental problem, street children to energy security, and very important issues in each county. JICE staff, ICU faculties and graduate/undergraduate students joined the symposium and listened to the fellows' presentations intently. After the presentation, they had a lively discussion of many different topics.

JDS fellows expressed their deepest gratitude to the all concerned who have supported this program. ICU faculties congratulated the graduates and offered encouragement for their future career.

All of the fellows got the degree of Master of Arts in Public Administration, and the commencement was held on June 30.
