Field Studies in British Culture (4 weeks)

This program is part of ICUfs Liberal Arts courses (OTH311). Students will take two or more courses offered by International Summer Schools Term I at University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom in the summer, and your grades and units will be counted as the ICU units.

You will live in a dormitory together with other international students on the traditional and historical campus. You can also attend the one-hour lectures by professors and guest speakers in the mornings and evenings, of which topics vary widely, not limited to your own interest.

Examples of courses offered by International Summer School Term I in 2009 (offering varies every year):

  • International politics in a global age
  • A history of science to the early Middle Ages
  • Socialism in the twentieth century: Russia and Britain
  • eOff with their heads!f Childhood in literature from Shakespeare to Alice
  • Education from empire to globalisation
  • Introduction to political philosophy
  • Being British: social anthropology of Britain
  • The City of Athens, Crises in world politics since 1945

The explanatory session for 2010 will be held at H202 from 2 p.m. on January 19, 2010. Application deadline is scheduled to be at the end of January. We will not accept the TOEFL iTP score that you received for ELP.
