These programs are operated by CIEE and IES, nonprofit educational organizations, in cooperation with their partnership universities and colleges around the world. Participants attend the classes at the local study center but can also take courses offered at the affiliate universities. While core courses being composed of local and language studies, students are also able to engage in field trips outside classes. IES is a year-long program, whereas CIEE being a term or a year-long.
Since these programs are not run by ICU, students would bear the program fee by them selves, while waived from ICU tuition. Please note that the participants will not be eligible to apply for ICU scholarship. The students also bear the accommodation and facililty fees.
Eligibility, application and screening procedures, status during study abroad, and credit transfers are the same as in the Exchange Programs. Please refer to IES and CIEE webpage for the details of each program.
