Call for Papers

The Institute of Asian Cultural Studies is preparing to publish Volume 41 of its journal, Asian Cultural Studies. We expect the issue to be published in the spring of 2015. This issue is open to all submissions that relate to the Institute’s concern with non-Western societies and Asia in particular.

We invite you to contribute a manuscript to this issue. The manuscript may take the form of a research article, research note, or book review.

The completed manuscript is due before September 30, 2014.

Please indicate your intention to submit a manuscript by email to the institute (acs@icu.ac.jp), including a temporary title and a brief description of your project. There is no deadline (beyond the September 30 submission deadline) but we hope that you will inform us as quickly as possible of your intention to submit a manuscript.

Guidelines for submitting a manuscript may be found on this page. When submitting your completed article, we ask that you include a signed copy of the “Submission Form” (which can be downloaded from this page).
