The M.A. program in clinical psychology began
in April 2002 with the dire need for dealing with urgent problems
related to youth and adolescence. Our training program features
various academic and professional activities. Based on the
global standard, we often invite professional scholars and
clinicians from overseas for workshops and conferences; students
are encouraged to actively participate in such opportunities.
Students are also to develop skills in research and clinical
practice in order to develop a deeper understanding of intra-psychic
psychodynamics, and sharpen their skills in dealing with groups,
families, schools, and other social institutions. The instruction
here at ICU has been based on a good faculty-student ratio with
the help of several part-time lecturers, with many resources
helping to achieve students' career goals. |

Major fields of research include clinical
psychology practice, mental health, and psychoeducation focusing
on personal growth and development. Lectures, seminars, practicum,
and research guidance are offered in order to train students
for clinical practice in the fields of education, medicine,
human resources, judicial systems, welfare organizations, and
other educational / clinical settings. |
