Open position: one post of the rank of Assistant Professor or above

Initial date of employment: April 1, 2008

Field: Information Science

Subjects to teach: Undergraduate courses in computer science including computer literacy, Graduate courses in computer science and related fields of mathematical science.

Qualifications:

1.     Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field

2.     Fluency in English; knowledge or motivation to learn Japanese

3.     Commitment to Christianity

International Christian University (ICU) a small private Liberal Arts institution established 50 years ago, which enjoys a high reputation. ICUfs bilingual education program for approximately 3000 students from Japan and overseas is provided by a community of international Faculty, based upon the Christian and democratic principles. The campus is located on 156 wooded acres in the western part of Tokyo. The Division of Natural Sciences consists of five major programs, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics.@ The computer science program focuses on excellent computer science education with a strong emphasis on the research dimensions and future development of this field, including hands-on experience of students in research at all levels. The Graduate Division of Natural Sciences participates in joint programs with the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
