In April 2018 the university presidents of Tsuda University, Meiji University and International Christian University published together "University Presidents' Declaration on Gender and Sexual Diversity (SOGI)." This confirmed the willingness to move towards creating a university in which diversity is recognized and peoples' personal dignity is respected. What changes and initiatives can we see at the university during the past year? We will also discuss what are the issues that arise when aiming to create an environment in which all members of the university (students and staff) feel comfortable.
